EOSC Summit 2018

On 11 June 2018, the High Level Expert Group on the European Open Science Cloud and the FAIR Data Expert Group organised together with the European Commission the second meeting of stakeholders - the EOSC Summit 2018. It followed the very successful EOSC Summit in 2017. The aim of the event was to take stock on progress and achievements towards the EOSC, a year on since the first Summit.

EOSCpilot Stakeholder Forum 2017

The first EOSC Stakeholder Forum organised by EOSCpilot in The Square, Brussels, on 28-29 November 2017 aimed at charting a course towards a concrete and sustainable EOSC, identifying first steps on the EU added-value of EOSC and its building blocks to make European Open Science a user-friendly reality.

EOSC Summit 2017

The summit was Europe’s moment of commitment to the EOSC and it generated a number of concrete EOSC Statements for implementation. By reviewing key areas of EOSC implementation and endorsing the EOSC statements, participants took upon themselves to make the EOSC a reality by 2020. In that respect, the summit wanted to mark a clear milestone, and proved willingness to build the EOSC as an inclusive and sustainable open commons for Europe’s research and innovation system.

The EOSC portal has been jointly developed and maintained by the eInfraCentral, EOSC-hub, EOSCpilot and OpenAIRE-Advance projects funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme with contribution of the European Commission.
